Membership is the raw power of Lionism! Everything we do for charity ~ all the direct help we provide for millions of people around the world every year ~ every bit is made possible by harnessing the capabilities and energy of our individual Lions. Worldwide, there are 1,400,000 Lions in 44,500 clubs. In our District, which includes the San Francisco Peninsula, from San Francisco to Mountain View, there are 1440 members in 40 clubs. That's a lot of hands and minds, but not nearly enough to eanble us to meet the needs of our local communities.

So we want YOU to consider becoming a member of the Lions. YOU can make a real difference. YOU are the power WE need. Think about it. Our Club is typical, with about 35 members. Our main fund raiser is the Concours D'Elegance. We also help the city of Palo Alto to stage a number of its annual events and participate actively in a number of district-wide efforts. We're sure YOU have ideas and skills that our Club can harness in the cause of Lionism.

But this isn't a one way street!

Looking for stability in a world where it feels like you live double parked? If you have to move, YOUR membership in the Lions goes with you. YOU will be welcomed into a Lions club wherever you travel or move.

The Lions have a traditional toast made simply and with pure water: "Never Above YOU, Never Beneath YOU, But With YOU." We mean it. We live by it. Come join us and help our Lions club help the Community.
